Following the
St. Bernard Parish's passing of a law that prohibits property rental to non-blood relatives, the Greater New Orleans Fair Housing Action Center filed suit, claiming housing discrimination (St. Bernard parish was 93%
white pre-K). Proponents of the law argue that they want a community of homeowners, not renters. Correspondent Lauren Bienvenue met with James Perry of the GNOFHAC and Parish Council Chairman Lynn Dean to get the full story.
Hostage Situation at Pal's
