What my election night conversations did do was make me feel a whole lot better about my neighbors here in New Orleans. No matter who they voted for, whatever their reasons, by and large they thought their candidate would do the best job. I can live with that. For all their flaws and traumas, I like New Orleanians best, and that’s good, because I’m one of them.
